About

We're here to give Australian businesses and web developers the information that they need to make a well-informed choice of web hosting provider. Web hosting products and packages can be hard to compare without using them first, and user reviews only tell you so much (when you rely on them, and how would you know?).

Host Compare is a project that delivers objective comparisons of web hosting companies that operate or advertise in Australia. Every web hosting company that we assess is put through the exact same series of tests, all detailed on our methodology page, and we also give a thorough walkthrough of the sign up process for each hosting brand.

Host Compare AU is the Australian counterpart to hostcompare.nz, built by the same team using the same repeatable, objective methodology. When shopping around, a lot of customers see more marketing bluster, pay-to-play review sites, and cynical link farming than useful information. We think it's time for a fair fight, so we put our 20+ years of hosting industry experience into a methodology we apply consistently — even when we assess our own hosting.

We have not sought and would not accept any payment or other consideration from any of the companies featured on Host Compare.
